ORDINANCE 2021-09
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE INTERSECTION OF CLINGERMAN AVENUE AND LINE STREET A THREE-WAY STOP
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Churubusco has the authority to regulate traffic on the roads and streets within town limits; and
WHEREAS, the Churubusco Police Department has recommended a better method of traffic control be implemented at Clingerman Avenue and Line Street to assist in providing a more orderly flow of vehicular traffic and to assist in bettering the safety and welfare of the public; and,
WHEREAS, the Churubusco Police Department has recommended a three-way stop at the intersection of Clingerman Avenue and Line Street would provide this control.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Churubusco, Indiana, that:
Section 1. All portions of Ordinances previously adopted in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 2. That the intersection of Clingerman Avenue and Line Street within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Churubusco is hereby designated as a three-way stop, requiring all vehicles to come to a complete stop at said intersection prior to proceeding.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be effective after its passage by the Town Council of the Town of Churubusco and upon posting of the requisite stop signs at the intersection.
Section 4. Upon the effective date, all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding traffic signs and signals shall be in effect and enforced by law enforcement officials including but not limited to fines, fees, and violations.
LET IT BE ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CHURURBUSCO that this ordinance shall be in effect July 21, 2021 and publication by law.
