TREE LIGHTING AND HOLIDAY CONTEST
The Town is holding the 3rd Annual Tree Lighting & Park Bake Sale on Saturday, November 29 at 6 p.m. at the Point (corner of 205 & 33). Hot cocoa will be provided and Santa will be making an appearance and passing out treats to those who attend! Local businesses will also be open later to allow people to vote on their Christmas decorations and complete holiday shopping. Come join us and see the lovely Christmas tree, shop local, and help out the Park!
In conjunction with the tree lighting, the Town and the Chamber of Commerce are also sponsoring a holiday decorating contest. Local businesses will be vying for the title of “best decorator” and we need your help in determining a winner! Each penny collected in a merchant’s collection box will be counted as a vote. The merchant with the most votes will win a plaque and be recognized in the Churubusco News. Last year’s winner was Shroyer’s Variety and Hardware. Can someone beat out this crowd favorite? Voting will begin November 29 and continue until December 10 with a winner announced December 11. Participants of this event include the following businesses and organizations:
