ORDINANCE NUMBER 2022-25
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES
OF ELECTED OFFICIALS AND OTHER EMPLOYEES OF THE TOWN OF CHURUBUSCO FOR THE YEAR 2023
BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Churubusco, Whitley County, Indiana, that the following will be the established salaries for employees of the Town of Churubusco for the fiscal year 2023.
Section 1 Established salaries by the Churubusco Town Council.
Town Council President $583.33 Monthly Council Members $464.19 Monthly
Section 2 Establishes salary for Clerk-Treasurer
Clerk–Treasurer $791.12 Bi-weekly
Section 3 Establishes salary for Council Chief of Staff
Council Chief of Staff $2000.00 Bi-weekly
The Council Chief of Staff is required to attend ALL Town Council meetings as part of his/her salaried position.
Section 4 Establishes salaries & wages for the Churubusco Police Department.
Town Marshal $ 2544.43 Bi-weekly
Straight time- $ 31.81 hour
Overtime- $ 47.72 hour
The Town Marshal is required to attend one Town Council meeting per month as part of his/her salaried position.
Deputy Marshal #1 $ 2330.34 Bi-weekly
Straight time- $ 29.13 hour
Overtime- $ 43.70 hour
With more than two years’ service and academy training
Deputy Marshal #2 $ 2144.33 Bi-weekly
Straight time- $ 26.80 hour
Overtime- $ 40.20 hour
With less than two years’ service and academy training
Deputy Marshal #3 $ 1984.24 Bi-weekly
Straight time- $ 24.80 hour
Overtime- $ 37.20 hour
With less than two years’ service and/or without academy training
Part-Time academy trained officers $30.00 per hour
Section 5 Establishes salaries & wages for Street and Utility Employees.
Street and Utility Superintendent $2544.43 bi-weekly
Full Time Water Supervisor $2544.43 bi-weekly
Part Time Water Supervisor $35.11 Hour
Full Time Waste Water Supervisor $2544.43 bi-weekly

Full-time Utility Assistant-Certified $28.06 Hour

Section 7 Establishes wages for full-time Park Director and part-time park employees.
Park Director $18.61 Hourly
The Park Director is required to attend one Town Council meeting
per month as part of his/her position.

Section 8 Longevity Pay
The Town’s Longevity Policy and pay schedule is included in the Town’s Personnel Handbook. Any changes made to the policy shall be approved by resolution by the Town Council.
This Ordinance having been read, amended, passed, and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Churubusco, Indiana, this 21st day of December, 2022 shall be in full force and effective for hours worked from December 26, 2022 to December 24, 2023.
