Meeting Minutes – January 27, 2021

The Churubusco Town Council met for a special meeting on January 27, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Scout Building. Members present were Council Members Mark Pepple and Nathan Van Horn; and Clerk-Treasurer, Madalyn Sade-Bartl. Also in attendance were area residents Rudy Wilfong and Brandon Johnson; Michael Butchko, Franklin Electric (via Zoom); Karl Tanner, DLZ (via Zoom); Rachael Rosfeld, Churubusco News (via Zoom); and Wastewater Superintendent, Bob Gray.

Council President, Nathan Van Horn, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Clerk. All members were present.

President Van Horn stated the purpose of the meeting was to open bids for design engineering for the Sewer Plant project and extension. The Town received bids from DLZ and Commonwealth Engineering and are listed below:

Project D1: Separation of Storm/Sewer, Library Alley $ 35,000.00, $ 45,743.00
Project D2: Separation of Storm/Sewer, US 33 & Tulley $ 15,000.00, $ 56,348.00
TOTAL $ 890,000.00, $ 908,087.00

Once bids were opened, President Van Horn stated the bids would be taken into advisement, reviewed by the selection committee, and a suggestion would be made at the February 3, 2021 Council meeting with an award anticipated to follow.

Having no other business, President Van Horn adjourned the meeting.
