Meeting Minutes –March 15, 2017
The Churubusco Town Council met on March 15, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall. Members present were President Mark Pepple, Council Members Frank Kessler and Bruce Johnson, and Clerk-Treasurer Madalyn Sade-Bartl. Also in attendance was area resident Pat Liggett; Wastewater Superintendent, Bob Gray; and Town Marshal, Mike Engle.
President Mark Pepple called the meeting to order, welcomed visitors and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll was called by the Clerk. All members were present.
Approval of March 1, 2017 meeting minutes:
Mr. Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Kessler seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
Approval of Claims and Payroll Vouchers:
Claims Vouchers dated for March 15, 2017 in the amount of $94,356.32 were approved.
Public Comment:
Pat Liggett stated everyone was doing a great job.
Old Business:
There was no old business.
New Business:
There was no new business.
Department Reports:
Jeremy Hart, Town Supervisor:
Mr. Hart was not present but left the attached report.
Bob Gray, Waste Water Treatment Plant Supervisor
Mr. Gray stated actuators and valves had been installed and they were in need of figuring out the infiltration issue. President Pepple asked when the best time to work on that would be and Mr. Gray stated it’s best to do it when it is dry. He would investigate at that time.
Michael Engle, Town Marshal:
Marshal Engle reported the new car would be done once the new camera (which was purchased by the prosecutor’s office) came in and was installed.
Rick Krider, Park Supervisor:
Mr. Krider was not present.
Ron Felger, Town Attorney:
Mr. Felger was not present.
Council Reports:
President Frank Kessler:
President Kessler had nothing to report.
Bruce Johnson:
Mr. Johnson stated he would be attending a solid waste meeting the following week.
Mark Pepple:
Mr. Pepple had nothing to report.
Madalyn Sade-Bartl:
Ms. Sade-Bartl stated she had taught two classes at the annual Clerk-Treasurer’s Institute the previous week and had attended Road School with Mr. Hart. She also had a meeting with a right-of-way engineer concerning cleaning up some of the right-of-way issues in town.
Having no other business and after all proper papers were signed, President Pepple adjourned the regular meeting.
