The Town of Churubusco and the Churubusco Chamber of Commerce is proud to be collaborating once again for a brand new community event! Halloweenfest will be on Saturday, October 25th and it is sure to be a day full of fun!
Events start at 7 am with a Pancake & Sausage breakfast at the Scout Building. The breakfast is a freewill donation and all proceeds will be donated to the Churubusco Park. During this event, we will be holding a pumpkin decorating contest (carved or painted) with the winners receiving a prize! If you think your pumpkin has what it takes to win, please bring it to the Government Center by Friday, October 24th. Pumpkins can be picked up at the Government Center on October 27th. A huge thank you to Egolf’s IGA, Sav-U-Mor, McDonald’s, and Dollar General for sponsoring this event.
The fun continues at noon downtown. The Churubusco Chamber will be holding a Chamber Trick-or-Treat event from noon to 3. Area businesses will be dressed up and passing out candy throughout town. Maps of participating businesses will be available at the Town’s tent on the corner of Washington and Main Streets. That will also be the pickup and drop off location of free hayrides brought to you by the Town. Hayrides will be running from noon to 3 pm. This event is made possible by the Churubusco Rotary Club, C&A Tool, and Gordon & Sloffer.
After the Chamber Trick-or-Treat, visit Dollar General and enter the costume contest. Prizes will be awarded and freebies will be given away. Judging starts at 3:30.
The day wraps up with Churubusco Trick-or-Treating from 4-7. Come hit the streets of ‘Busco and get your candy on! Don’t forget to stop out at the Fire Station located at 805 N. John Krieger Drive. They will have free cider & hot dogs available to all who visit.
